TESTIMONY I am Indira Reddy. I was a Hindu. I work for a Chinese family. I have two children, a 14-year-old son and a 10-year-old daughter. When my husband died in a motorcycle accident in 1996, I threw out all Hindu gods’ photos. I stopped Hindu praying. I came to believe in Jesus. When I was sad anytime, I went to church to pray. I did not have enough money for school fees, rent, or monthly expenditure. I asked Jesus to send me to Hong Kong. He answered my prayer. One day, an Indian pastor said, “A poisonous snake is following your son. Tell your son to go to church and pray.” I called my son and told him. But my son did not believe it. One Tuesday night, he got into a train accident and died. I could not even see his body. In 2005, my daughter was sick with Typhoid fever. The doctors gave her medicine but it could not cure her. Everyone said she had no chance of survival. Four church members came to my home and prayed. They said, “Her brother and father love Pinki (my daughter) so much. They want to take your daughter.” They then took photos of my husband and son and threw them into the river and prayed. The next day, she woke up normal. All the people were amazeD. One time, my kitchen caught fire. Oil soaked on the gas. That time I just used the words “Jesus, save me.” After the fire died down, everyone wondered why I did not have any injury. Before, I didn’t get baptised. The reason is that I didn’t want to lose my family. Now they believe in Jesus, because my husband’s younger brother had a successful eye operation and his wife’s kidney stone problem was solved (with no medicine from the doctor). They only prayed to Jesus. My old mother-in-law was also praying, and her daughter and my daughter were baptised two years back. They didn’t tell me. Now Jesus has cleared the way. One time, my nephew had a small car accident. It was not his fault. The other car overtook his car but there was no proof. I prayed to God, “We don’t want any problem,” and one lady came to the police station. She said it was not the fault of my nephew. Case closed. Praise God. My second and third sisters became Christians. My fourth sister’s family did not allow them into the house. Now my fourth sister has also been baptised. Her husband said he would divorce her. My sister said, “OK. I will leave the family but don’t leave Jesus.” Now he also believes but he doesn’t show it. One Saturday night, I thought, “I want to be baptised. I want to talk to the pastor.” That Sunday morning, I came to church. The pastor was standing in the church entrance and he talked to me. That time I asked to be baptised. My whole family has turned to Christianity except my mother. She says all gods are one. So many, many miracles I have had in my life. Indira Reddy ^ Back to Top |
